Being a mehndi artist my clients come to me from a variety of background and for different purposes. My main clientele are brides and wedding parties who request the more detailed, intricate designs for their hands and feet as part of their celebrations. The requests of the public often depend on their ages. For example, mature clients who visit me at fairs and exhibitions prefer traditional patterns, whereas the younger generation tends to like modern, elegant designs that often bear resemblance tattoos. On a number of occasions, I have painted such designs for celebrities. More recently, I focus my work on teaching student who are eager to learn about the history and practise of mehndi in all these forms.
